INSTRUCTION FOR CANDIDATES
Educational Qualification :
  • 10th Pass or Equivalent from recognised Board

  • Age Relaxation in upper age limit / maximum upper age for the following categoriesare applicable subject to submission of requisite certificates.
Stages of exam :
  • There shall be online Computer Based Test (CBT).
  • Candidates shortlisted on the basis of their performance in CBT shall be called for Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Document Verification (DV) to the extent of 10 times the number of vacancies in each category for Male/Female/Ex-Servicemen as per merit. Ex-servicemen shall be exempted from PET, however, they will have to undergo PMT.

Negative Marking : There will be negative marking 1/3rd mark for every wrong answer) in CBT.

Computer Based Test (CBT) : The standard of examination will be 10th/Matric level.

PATTERN OF EXAM

Pattern of CBT:

  • (i) Total Duration: 90 minutes & Total Questions: 120
  • (ii) Normalization of marks will be done for CBTs held in multiple shifts.
  • (iii) Minimum pass percentage for eligibility: UR, EWS and OBC-NCL - 35%, SC & ST - 30%
  • (iv) Pattern for CBT : Questions will be of objective type with multiple choice answers .
  • (v) Medium of Examination: Questions for CBT will be available in English, Hindi and 13 regional Indian languages (viz., Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu). Accordingly, candidates must choose their medium of examination from any one amongst those listed in the ONLINE application form. CBT questions will be displayed in the language opted and in English.
The criteria for PET are as under:

Document Verification (DV):

Candidates shortlisted for DV will have to submit all their original documents along with two sets of self-attested photocopies at the time of DV.

Further, these candidates should upload the scanned copies (in true colour) of Photo & Signature before their DV date through the portal.

SYLLABUS
a. Arithmetic (35 marks) :

Questions on Number System, Whole Numbers, Decimal & Fractions and relationship between numbers, fundamental arithmetical operations, Percentages, Ratio & Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit & Loss, Discount, Use of Tables & Graphs, Mensuration, Time & Distance, etc.

SYLLABUS
क. अंकगणित (35 अंक) :

संख्या प्रणाली, पूर्ण संख्याएं, दशमलव और अंश तथा संख्याओं के बीच संबंध, मौलिक अंकगणितीय संक्रियाएं, प्रतिशत, अनुपात और समानुपात, औसत, ब्याज, लाभ और हानि, छूट, तालिकाओं और ग्राफ का उपयोग, क्षेत्रमिति, समय और दूरी आदि पर प्रश्न।

b. General Intelligence and Reasoning (35 marks) :

Questions on Analogies, Similarities and Differences, Spatial Visualization, Spatial Orientation, Problem Solving Analysis, Judgement, Decision Making, Visual Memory, Discriminating observation, Relationship concepts, Arithmetical Reasoning, Verbal & Figure classification, Arithmetic number series, Non-verbal series, Coding and Decoding, Statement- Conclusion, Syllogistic reasoning, etc.

ख. सामान्य बुद्धि और तर्क (35 अंक) :

सादृश्य, समानताएं और अंतर, स्थानिक दृश्य, स्थानिक अभिविन्यास, समस्या समाधान विश्लेषण, निर्णय, निर्णय लेने, दृश्य स्मृति, विभेदकारी अवलोकन, संबंध अवधारणाएं, अंकगणितीय तर्क, मौखिक और आकृति वर्गीकरण, अंकगणितीय संख्या श्रृंखला, गैर-मौखिक श्रृंखला, कोडिंग और डिकोडिंग, कथन-निष्कर्ष, सिलोजिस्टिक्स तर्क आदि पर प्रश्न।

c. General Awareness (50 marks) :

Questions will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the Environment around him/her and its application to society; to test knowledge of current Events and such matters of everyday observation and experience as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to Indian History, Art and Culture, Geography, Economics, General Polity, Indian Constitution, Sports, General Science, etc.

ग. सामान्य जागरूकता (50 अंक) :

प्रश्नों का उद्देश्य उम्मीदवार की उसके आसपास के वातावरण और समाज में उसके अनुप्रयोग के बारे में सामान्य जागरूकता का परीक्षण करना होगा; वर्तमान घटनाओं और रोज़मर्रा के अवलोकन और अनुभव के ऐसे मामलों के ज्ञान का परीक्षण करने के लिए जो किसी भी शिक्षित व्यक्ति से अपेक्षित हो सकते हैं। परीक्षा में भारतीय इतिहास, कला और संस्कृति, भूगोल, अर्थशास्त्र, सामान्य राजनीति, भारतीय संविधान, खेल, सामान्य विज्ञान आदि से संबंधित प्रश्न भी शामिल होंगे।
