NOTIFICATION
QUALIFICATION
  1. Must hold a Degree of any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other Educational Institution established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature or declared to be deemed as University Under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956 or posses an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government in consultation with the Commission.
  2. Working knowledge of Hindi written in Devnagri Script and knowledge of Rajasthani Culture
AGE :
  • Minimum : 20 Years.
  • Maximum : 25 Years
AGE RELAXATION
  • Males of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class of Rajasthan State 5 years
  • Females of General Category and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) of Rajasthan State 5 years
  • Females of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backward Class and Extremely Backward Class of Rajasthan State 10 years
  • The upper age limit mentioned above shall be 40 years in the case of Ex-Service Prisonel and the Reservists, namely the service personnel who are transferred to Reserve
  • 3 Years in case of the candidates belonging to state Government employees and the dependents of the deceased Police Officers/Officials killed in the discharge of their duties.
  • That the Released Emergency Commissioned Officers and Short Service Commissioned Officers after release from the army, shall be deemed to be within the age-limit, when they appear before the Commission had they been eligible as such at the time of their joining the commission in the Army.

Physical Fitness :- A candidate for direct recruitment of the Service, must be in good mental and bodily health and free from any mental or physical defect likely to interfere with the efficient performance of his duties as a member of Service and if selected must produce a certificate to that effect from a Medical Authority notified by the Government for the purpose.

Height and chest circumference of every male candidate should not be less than the following
  1. Height : 168 cm
  2. Chest should not be less than 81 cm without expansion and 86 cm when expanded (with minimum 5 cm expansion of chest)
Note:
  1. The height of candidates from hilly and tribal areas should not be less than 160 cms and chest should not be less than 79 cms without expansion and 84 cms with expansion.
  2. The height and weight of female candidates should not be less than 152 cms and 47.5 kgs respectively.
  3. In case the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Tribes of Rajasthan who meet the above mentioned physical fitness standards are not available in the required number, relaxation of up to 5 cms can be given in the height and chest measurement of the candidates of Scheduled Castes/Tribes of Rajasthan.
Exam Pattern
  • A written Competitive Examination for the post of Sub Inspector be conducted by the Commission on the following pattern.

General Instruction
  1. Candidates who obtain 36 percent of marks in each paper and 40 percent in the aggregate, shall be deemed to have passed the qualifying examination conducted by the Commission.
  2. The commission shall send the list of such successful candidates up to 20 times the number of vacancies on the basis of merit based on the aggregate marks obtained in the written examination.
  3. Provided that relaxation upto 5 marks will be available to candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in each paper and in the aggregate.
  4. The physical efficiency test shall carry 100 marks and the candidates who secure 50% marks therein, shall be eligible for selection.
  5. The aptitude test and interview of the candidates qualifying physical efficiency test, shall carry 50 marks.
  6. Candidates holding Degree or Diploma in criminology or N.C.C. “C” Certificate or who have offered Police Administration as one of the papers for the degree examination may be given weight.

1 शब्द रचना: सन्धि एवं सन्धि विच्छेद, समास, उपसर्ग, प्रत्यय
