EDUCATION QUALIFICATION

A.

Senior Secondary (Or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

OR

Senior Secondary (Or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and 2 year diploma in Elementary Education (By whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations – 2002

OR

Senor Secondary (Or its equivalent) with a at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education.

OR

Senior Secondary (Or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2-year diploma in Education (Special Education) (For Special Teachers)

OR

Graduation with 2 year diploma in Elementary Education (By Whatever name known)

NOTE :

1. The condition of minimum percentage of marks at the Higher Secondary School level will not apply in the case of those candidates who had taken admission in the two-year Diploma course in Elementary Education before 29th July, 2011.

2. All such candidates who have taken admission in the two-year Diploma course in Elementary Education as per the notification of National Council for Teacher Education dated 29th July, 2011 or after, are required to obtain minimum 50% marks in Higher Secondary School.

B.

1. Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test-2024 (Level I) should have been passed with the minimum percentage of marks as prescribed by the order of the Government of Rajasthan, dated 16-12-2020.

2. For the posts of Teacher Level I, General Education, it is mandatory to pass two-year D.El.Ed. in Elementary Education and for the posts of Level I Special Education, it is mandatory to pass two-year Diploma in Pedagogy (Special Education).

3. Diploma in Pedagogy: - Diploma course in Teacher Pedagogy recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) will be valid. For Diploma in Pedagogy (Special Education) and Special Education, only the course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) will be valid.

4. Special compulsory training:- The person who has passed D.Ed. (Special Education), after appointment, it will be necessary to undergo 6 months special training provided by National Council of Teacher Education in elementary education.

5. In the criteria of minimum percentage of marks of educational qualification prescribed for the posts of Level I, relaxation of 5% marks will be given as per rules in the qualifying marks for economically weaker section/OBC/EBC/Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Sahariya and widow/abandoned women candidates of specially abled category and general category.

AGE

  • The candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 40 years.

GENERAL INSTRUCTION

To appear in the main examination, it will be mandatory for the candidate to obtain the minimum percentage of marks in Level I of Teacher Eligibility Test 2024 as follows:-

Pattern of Exam

S.NO Description
1 The exam will be of 300 marks.
2 There will be one question paper for the exam.
3 The duration of the question paper will be 02 hours 30 minutes.
4 The question paper will contain a total of 150 questions. All the questions will be multiple choice.
5 There will be negative marking in the evaluation of answers. For every wrong answer one third of the marks allotted for that particular question will be deducted.
